Hi! My name is Alyssa. I was diagnosed with severe autism in Sept. 2009.  My Dr. told my mommy that I would never live independently. Well, that was almost 2 years ago and he can't believe the progress that I have made! He said he never expected me to do so well!! I now have limited speech but, that is getting better.  I also use ASL.  I show emotions and affection! So, never give up!  Keep learning!  Parents keep teaching , keep trying, progress can be made! I am PROOF. I am not only Autistic...I am the FUTURE!
